The team

Raquel front of house, Juanma in the kitchen

Raquel runs the dining room and Juanma the kitchen. Both had worked at Rebeka since 2012, and three years ago the owner offered them the business. They went from staff to owners, and the team is still the same. For them, it is a new life.

The place

A local spot with the same cooking as ever

Rebeka opened in 2010 and is still a place for set lunch, brunch and breakfast for people who work nearby: L'Auditori, the Mercat dels Encants and the Tanatori Sancho de Ávila are all 2 to 5 minutes' walk away. The owners have changed, the cooking has not: fish is served deboned, and the sweet and savoury catering is made in-house, to be ordered 2 or 3 days ahead. There is a terrace, high chairs and a private room, and you can come without a booking.
